Canada
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Canada
Language: The official languages are French and English.
Plugs: The plugs in Canada are type A and B. Type A has two flat parallel pins, and type B has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin.
Currency: Canadian Dollar. The abbreviation is CAD. For a quick conversion check, my go to’s are Google and XE Currency Converter. XE also has a great app.
Cash or Card?: Cards are used almost everywhere in Canada. Of course, it is always a good idea to keep some cash on hand for smaller purchases.
Best Time To Visit: This totally depends on what you are looking to do! Canada is beautiful all year long. If visiting in the winter, be careful of the snow if you are not used to it.
How Long Should I Go For?: Canada is a very large country. I recommend taking two weeks to explore more than one province, or if you have less time go for seven to ten days and see a lot of one province. Need help planning your next trip? Check out some of my guides here and the bucket list here!
What To Bring: Being so far north, winters can be brutally cold and summers are comfortably warm. Check out some of my essentials here.
