KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Thailand

Language: The official language in Thailand is Thai. You will find that most will know English and should have no problem getting around.

Plugs: The plugs in Thailand are type A, B, or C. Type A is the plug that has two flat parallel pins, Type B has two flat parallel pins and a grounding pin, and plug type C has two round pins.

Currency: Thai Baht. The abbreviation is THB. For a quick conversion check, my go to’s are Google and XE Currency Converter. XE also has a great app.

Cash or Card?: Thailand is mainly an all cash country. You should prepare to use cash in most places. Vendors may charge you an additional percentage to use a card.

Best Time To Visit: The best time to visit is from November to early April. This is Thailand’s cool and dry season.

How Long Should I Go For?: Ideally, if you wanted to see the whole country, I would spend at least 2 weeks to get a good feel for the whole country. However, you could spend forever here exploring every part. Need help planning your next trip? Check out some of my guides here and the bucket list here!

What To Bring: Prepare for the heat! All year long the country is on the warm side. If you are traveling during the winter months, be prepared for the rain that may come and go. Check out some of my essentials here.
