My Main Camera
Nikon D610
This has been my main camera for quite a while now. It has been all over the world with me along with numerous weddings and events. I may soon jump ship to the Sony mirrorless side but for now, this camera is great. I highly recommend it to anyone starting out and has a bit more to spend than entry level. It is great in low light and great in almost any situation. Has some video capabilities but I would not buy this camera for those features. I don’t every switch to video, my phone or the DJI Osmo below beat it by a mile.
My Main Lenses
Tamron 24-70mm F/2.8 G2
Tamron 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC G2
Really, these two lenses are all I need. Depending on my trip and what kind of bag I plan on bringing around, sometimes I leave the 70-200mm at home. When I do have both though, I am covered. Both stop down all the way to f/2.8 which gives me great depth of field and low light shots. The 24-70mm is the perfect daily and doesn’t get too wide that it overly distorts anything. And the 70-200mm is there for when I just need a little more distance. If I were to have anything over a 200mm, I would need to lug around a tripod everywhere. Or be in a jeep on a safari!

My Other Equipment
Samsung s24 Ultra
Well, I am an android person. Everyone has their opinions on which is better, I chose this one :). Nothing more than that really to say.
DJI Osmo Pocket 3
These are my new(ish) favorite gadget to bring with me on trips! It’s so small it fits in almost any bag or pocket, the video quality is soooo good! And lastly, not many people out and about know what this is so you an get cool inconspicuous shots without looking like you’re filming a huge production. This goes with me on every trip now.
DJI Mavic 2 Pro Drone
I’m sure DJI is the first place many think of now when they think drone, especially consumer. I love how compact it is when I am traveling, and the quality and built is perfect for what I need it for. I would love to get one of the even smaller ones, but I usually find myself wanting to fly it where the wind gets a bit crazy (Iceland) and I think I would worry a lot more with one of those.
DJI Osmo Pocket
Yes, I still keep this in my bag most of the time! It is a great backup to stick somewhere for a time lapse, or really anything if I am busy using the newer model above. Quality wise between the first model and the third, I notice a big difference. But the first is still a great camera, and fairly inexpensive at the moment so if you would love an Osmo but don’t want to spend that much, this is a great option!
Insta360 X3 360 Camera
This is brand new to my arsenal! Haven’t played with it too much but the possibilities of this camera look so cool. I would highly recommend.
My Camera Bags
Lowepro ProTactic 450 AW II
Great backpack when you are carrying a lot of different, fragile gear. When I have all of my camera equipment with me, this is the bag I usually reach for. I can fit all of the equipment I mention above plus some other small things like batteries and chargers.
Vgcub Large Travel Backpack
This is my new favorite travel bag that you will normally see me with. It was popular on a lot of social medias, and it definitely lives up to the hype. It fits so much stuff, is very durable, and works as a personal item on planes! Since I usually need this to double as a camera bag when traveling, I use one of the inserts listed below and keep that in the main compartment.
Roomy Camera Protective Bag Insert
Bomkee Camera Insert
Bagsmart Camera Backpack
I also keep this bag on hand but only use it occasionally. I love that it has the already built in camera compartment and also a spot at the top for other items. It is also a lot smaller than the two bags above so it can also be used as a day bag when traveling. Recently, I travel with too many things to have this be my main travel backpack, but when I am able to use it, it’s great!
IGOLUMON Hiking Backpack 40L
And my final bag. This is my day pack when traveling, I just slip the camera insert into this bag and go about my day while leaving all the other things I shoved in the bigger backpacks back at the hotel. This backpack also folds up into itself, small enough to shove into my bigger backpack or my suitcase on travel days. Also, if I end up coming home with more than I brought, it’s the perfect backup bag!
